Meet your new music Teacher
ELAINE BOULANGER is a multi-faceted, dynamic and energetic artist who has worked extensively over the last thirty-five years as a music director, adjudicator, voice and piano instructor, choral conductor, clinician, collaborative pianist and church music liturgist.
Her illustrious career began at the age of thirteen where she made her debut as a collaborativeĀ pianist to a hundred voice choir in Boston, Mass.
Ms. Boulanger is the owner/operator of Music from the Heart in Saint John, NB, a music schoolĀ where the goal is to make learning music
She has been privileged to see many of her award-winning students continue their studies at institutions like Sheridan College, Dalhousie ā The Fountain School of Performing Arts and Mount Allison University. In 2023, in both the Developing Artist and Emerging Artist Streams at
the National Music Festival, Elaineās students took home First Place in the Musical Theatre division.
As a theatre lover, Elaine is an advocate for performing opportunities for her students. She provides them with annual productions, recitals, concerts, camps, and musicals to nurture their growth as young artists. She encourages, and guides them as they participate in community theatre projects, competitions, school productions and prepares them for university and professional theatre auditions.
A highlight of her career was joining the Island Theatre Festival in Charlottetown, PEI as Musical Director with the company of Anne & Gilbert the Musical. Elaine had the pleasure of spending the summers of 2022 and 2023 working with her son, Zachary, as well as recording a new studio album with the writers – Bob Johnston, Nancy White and Jeff Hochouser to be used when mounting the show worldwide.
In 2022, Elaine started Raise Your Voice ā Ladies Choir which grew to fifty voices in itsā first season and has filled performance venues for several concerts over the last two years. They have been filmed by ROGERS TV and broadcast over the Christmas season for audiences to enjoy.
